Tsukiji, Pasay Road, Makati

I remember Tsukiji growing up as a kid. My parents and grandparents took us there to enjoy an amazing Japanese feast. When I was in high school, my friends and I used to joke around, saying that Tsukiji was a place that we could only eat at with our parents because it was quite expensive and we couldn’t afford it on our high school allowances.

Today, Tsukiji is still one of the pricier Japanese restos in town, BUT…. the food is so worth it! You get the best of everything! The sashimi, so fresh and deeeelish. They have ingredients flown if from Japan on a regular basis, and it is AMAZING!

This was another culinary journey for Babyruth and moi. In my eagerness and excitement to eat all that yummy food, I arrived a bit early and decided to have a nice cold beer while waiting for her to arrive.

At last! Babyruth arrives and we order our delicious meal!

Patiently waiting for our aps to come 🙂
Busy! Busy! Busy!
Our sashimi platter- Uni (Sea Urchin) Tai (Sea Bream), Kampachi (Amberjack) and Sake (Salmon) this gets 5/5 NOM's!

They sauteed what's left of the fresh scallops and served it as well. Though this was not my cup of tea, Babyruth enjoyed this dish. 🙂

This Kaiso (Seaweed) Salad never disappoints. This has been my fave for years.
Veggie fried rice. This was so good! ❤
The star of the night. Wagyu Steak, cooked medium. 4 NOM's for me

My uberly sweet pineapple dessert.
Halo-Halo and Coffee Jelly. Babyruth say this is the best in her book.

Another fantabulous dinner and great conversation. Thanks Babyruth! Till our next gastronomical adventure! 😉
