Today was such a gloomy, rainy day. I got lots of chores done and relaxed pretty much til about 5pm. I decided to head to the mall and take myself on a date. A dinner and movie date. I have had the pleasure of dining out and watching movies alone when I was in NYC, and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Having all this “ME” time is pretty darned good… different, but in a good way. 🙂 For those that have done it, you know what I mean. For those that have yet to do it, give it a go. It’s quite liberating, well for me that is. 😛
Tonight, I decided to head to the food court at the Broadway mall. I grabbed my car keys, headed out the door and off to my date.
My food court stall of choice tonight was Kodori. A small fast food joint that serves Asian delights. I had Chicken Bibimpap this evening and it turned out delish. It came with miso soup and a soda.

The servings here are quite large and I couldn’t finish my meal as I was saving room for my popcorn at the movies. A movie is not complete without popcorn. 😛
My movie of choice for the evening was “Gone”.
I am not a movie expert, but if you were to ask me to rate this movie from a scale of 1-10, 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest, I would rate this a 6.5 out of 10. It was ok lang for me. I guess I expected loads more from it, but it was good. Go check it out when you can.
Tonight proved to be a wonderful night for me. Loving the new “independence” that I have since my son left the nest so to speak. I will definitely make time to take myself out on a date when I head back to Manila. Something new and different that I enjoy.
Ciao! Thanks for reading 🙂
