Korea Garden, Jupiter Street

It was a blessed Sunday. Michelle, Babyruth and I just finished our Sunday service and we decided to head out to lunch. Korean sounded good to us and so we headed to Korea Garden. This resto has been part of Manila’s dining experience since the early 70’s. They were originally located on P. Burgos St. in Makati and transfered to their new location several years ago.

Korea Garden has been in our family’s repertoire of restos for quite sometime now. I remember going there when I was younger and they saw my son, Andrew grow up. Most of the original waiters are still there, and when I walk in, it’s like home to me and my family.

The food…. deeelish as always. Mrs Chu, the GM is as wonderful as ever. She hasn’t aged a bit!

Craving for delish Korean food? Come visit Korean Garden on Jupiter St., Makati.

Cold Barley Tea to start.
The complimentary Namul (Korean side dishes) served before every meal.
Ginseng Chichen Soup
My fave! Ojingo Bocum (Spicy Cuttlefish/Squid) perfect balance of sweet, salty and spicy.
Kalbi Jim (korean Beef stew). Just as delicious as I remembered it as a kid! Fantastico! KG's best seller.
Dak Gui (Spicy Grilled Chicken) The wonderful thing is... you can adjust the spiciness to your liking. Yuuuummmm!! 😛
