A Mother’s Pride and Joy! 19 Years?! WowZA!

My son turned 19 on the 15th of February, and I am still in awe of how time flies! It seemed just like yesterday that he was a baby that I cradled in my arms, heard him speak for the first time, watched him take his first steps, heard him say “I love you, mommy”, fed him his favourite gerber meal πŸ˜‰ and today, 19?! 😯 Whoa! Where did the time go? There were a lot of “Firsts” in our mother son relationship and I am looking forward to the new ones. πŸ˜€ I am truly blessed to have a wonderful son and I thank the Lord for him everyday! He is truly a blessing from God! πŸ˜€

This post was quite hard to do. I had to fight off the tears from trickling down my face, realizing that my baby boy is now a young man!  😦 Β This bible verse gives me peace and assurance, that everything will fall into place and I am claiming this truth. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” πŸ˜€

It seems just like yesterday…. πŸ˜₯

Leaving the hospital.

With his best cousin, Anara πŸ˜›

For his birthday, I decided to round up the “troops” so to speak, his very best friends that I know he cares for deeply, and I know they do him, as well. I decided to set up a dinner with my family at Peking Garden Restaurant in Greenbelt 5 Β and invited his best buds as a surprise. πŸ˜› He had no idea that this was being planned behind his back! Thanks Nicola, Erin, Ed and Roman! You guys were such big help in coordinating this event! πŸ˜€ Love you guys!

SURPRISE!!!!! πŸ˜€

Real friends are hard to find. When you find them, keep them close to your heart and cherish each other. I am so happy that Andrew found a bunch of good hearted people. Love you guys! πŸ˜€

Happy Birthday, Andrew! Love you!

  1. What fantastic photos!!! I can still remember when Andrew would accompany us to ISM. I clearly remember it. We were reading a book by Chaim Potok and I remember Andrew repeating his name: “Kayem Potok”. The strangest thing is, I was around his age when he accompanied us. So, you can imagine how old I feel. Time is going fast and glad that he has a nice set of close friends and a family that loves him very much. Happy Birthday!

  2. Pria you are such a sweet mom! Andrew is such a fine son. All I can say is God is preparing only great things for him… Glad to see how you guys spent his birthday and how sarap the food!

  3. Aw! What a sweet mommy you are! Andrew is a great guy and it is because you have been an incredible mom to him. Love your photos of Andrew from birth to now πŸ™‚ Have fun in Singapore!
